The Virginia Association for Career and Technical Education (VACTE) welcomes you to the 2010-2011 school year. This year will provide continuing opportunities for Career and Technical Education (CTE) expansion into new fields. With economic factors influencing policy makers, the time has never been more important to become involved in the process of influencing legislative decisions affecting CTE. I encourage every CTE teacher to join with VACTE to make our voices and concerns known throughout the Commonwealth, and nationally through our national organization ACTE.
VACTE exists to serve as the umbrella organization for all CTE program areas and divisions throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. VACTE is a source for all who are concerned with, and about, Career and Technical Education. Through the website and the winter seminar information is available to learn more about the important mission of providing career training within the public school systems of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
VACTE’s continuing mission is to promote career and technical education programs, and to assist career and technical teachers in achieving their goals of providing quality training for each of their students. VACTE maintains a leadership position by bringing together all of the CTE program divisions into one unified group.
VACTE is dedicated to serving its members. Therefore, we value and seek your input. Remember, this is YOUR professional organization. Our Board of Directors is composed of educators, just like you. This is YOUR professional organization and our goal is to listen to every CTE teacher/administer and support your concerns.
You may join VACTE any time during the year by completing a membership form (located here). If you have any needs or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to serving you in the new school year.
Sincerely,
Sidney G. Delepine, III
